GROSS DESCRIPTON:

The specimen submitted consists of two pieces of breast tissue measuring up to 2.3*1.5*.08cm in size fixed in formalin.
Grossly,they are gray and firm

MICROSCOPIC DESCRIPTION:

Microscopically,section of the breast shows a background of fibrocystic change.
Foci of peripheral intraductal papillomas are present,with moderate to florid epithelial hyperplasia and focal atypical ductal hyperplasia.
The latter resembles low-grade DCIS in morphology but does not occupy the whole cross section of the lobules.
Under p63 immunostain,the usual hyperplastic sites are accompanied by ingrowth of myoepithelial cells,while the atypical hyperplastic sites are absent.
There is no invasive malignancy.
